Further development of administrative capacity in implementation of the environmental acquis at local level, Bulgaria, EuropeAID/123444/D/SER/BG
The objectives of this project are to assist certain Bulgarian authorities dealing with implementation of the requirements of the environmental legislation in the following aspects:
• Further strengthening of the administrative capacity of municipalities with the purpose to achieve effective and efficient environmental management with emphasise on project preparation and implementation; • Further strengthening and improvement of institutional capacity of BAMEE and establishing relationships between BAMEE and relevant EU professional organization in the field of environmental protection; • Further strengthening and improvement of the existing system for training of environmental experts from municipal administrations and Regional Inspectorates of Environment and Water (RIEW), including strengthening and achieving of sustainability for the established Center for information, consultancy and specific environmental training; • Further improvement of the information system, including support for information and data exchange, with the purpose to achieve better performance; • Contribution to the successful implementation of the operational programme “Environment 2007 -2013” (OPE), other relevant Operational Programmes (OPs) and the National Rural Development Plan. The role of REC: • Development of a training programme on “preparation of waste management investment projects” and delivery of training to the target groups; • Participation in the development of methodology and assessment of 100 potential investment projects, specifically in the waste management field • Participation in the development of methodology and assessment of 20 projects, specifically in the waste management field, for which 10 pre-feasibility studies will be developed in the waste management sector • Development of 1 feasibility study and preliminary design for one of the 10 projects Content Management Powered by CuteNews |
