The main objective of the training seminar was to train the waste management experts from RIEW on:
• Implementation of Regulation 9/04 on the order and forms for providing information on waste management activities as well as the on the system for filing the public register on permits issued, registration documents and closed sites and activities;
• Implementation of Regulation 3/04 on wastes classification and Regulation on packaging and wastes from packaging, adopted with Order of Council of Ministries 41/26.02.04.

The program of the seminar included:
• Discussion on the problems with implementation of Regulation 3/04 on wastes classification;
• Training of the experts from RIEW on implementation of Regulation 9 on the order and forms for providing information on waste management activities as well as the on the system for filing the public register on permits issued, registration documents and closed sites and activities;
• Requirements for reporting information and activities, related to the Regulation on packaging and wastes from packaging.

The seminar was held on December 6-8, 2004, in Bankya.

Twenty-nine waste management experts from RIEW took participation in the training seminar. The Executive Environmental Agency provided thirteen lecturers and one lecturer was provided by The Ministry of Environment and Water.

The project was financed by the Executive Environmental Agency.
